Residents Giving Back with Bean Café

Every week, our residents volunteer with Bean Café to help prepare meals for Anchorage’s underserved community.
Through this partnership, they’re not just giving back, they’re gaining purpose, confidence, and community.

Aim High Breakthrough Meetings

Every other week, our residents come together for Powerful Aim High Breakthrough Meetings — safe, supportive spaces for open conversation, reflection, and growth.
These meetings give residents a chance to:
🧠 Share personal breakthroughs
💬 Support one another’s journeys
🌱 Build trust, accountability, and community
It’s where honesty meets healing — and where our residents are reminded that they’re not alone.

Community Outings & New Experiences

At Aim High LLC, healing includes living life fully and that means getting out, exploring, and reconnecting with joy.
Our group outings give residents a chance to:
🚶‍♂️ Enjoy nature and fresh air
🎉 Build friendships and make memories
🧘‍♀️ Practice healthy, sober fun
Whether it’s a hike, a community event, or a simple day out, these moments help residents rediscover life beyond survival.

A Safe and Supportive Home

At Aim High LLC, we believe healing and growth start with stability.
Our homes offer a clean, sober, and welcoming environment where residents can focus on rebuilding their lives with dignity and support.
🛏️ Comfortable shared bedrooms
🛋️ Shared living spaces that encourage connection
🍽️ independent Home-cooked meals and a peaceful setting
Our homes are more than just a place to stay, they’re a space to grow.

Target Population

Aim High LLC will primarily serve Alaska military veterans who are struggling with homelessness, mental health issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD, depression, disabilities, anxiety, and unemployment.

Who We Serve

We proudly serve:

•  Veterans who need structured support and housing after service

•  Justice-involved individuals reentering society after incarceration

•  Individuals with mental health challenges who need stable, substance-free environments

•  Underserved populations facing housing insecurity and systemic barriers

Our program meets people where they are — without judgment — and helps them build the life they want with accountability, empowerment, and compassion.

What Makes Us Different

🏠 Safe, Stable Housing

Our sober-living homes offer structure, routine, and respect. Each home is clean, welcoming, and free of drugs and alcohol.

👥 Real Human Support

We are not a treatment center — we’re a stepping stone. We offer support through mentoring, life skill coaching, transportation to appointments, and help accessing community resources.

🤝 Community-Based Care

We work closely with guardians, service coordinators, state and tribal agencies, and local organizations to ensure wraparound support for every resident.

💬 Open Communication

Residents are seen and heard. We host bi-weekly group meetings to share, reflect, and set goals. Families and support networks are encouraged to be part of the journey.

Why “Aim High” ?

Founded in Anchorage, Alaska, Aim High LLC grew from a deep personal commitment to help those often overlooked — veterans, formerly incarcerated men and women, individuals struggling with mental health, and those who simply needed someone to believe in them.

Our founder, Elizabeth Aumavae, built this program not as a business, but as a mission. With firsthand experience witnessing how hard it is to rebuild from broken systems, she envisioned homes filled with hope, structure, and guidance — not just rules.

Today, that vision lives on through a growing team of compassionate staff and residents who support one another like family.

Because we believe everyone deserves to aim higher than their past — and we’re here to walk beside them as they reach for a better future.
